To design a work living space for a fashion designer, I was assigned a haute couture dress to develop the concept for the space .

 

The ultimate design of this 600 square foot double height corner space was inspired by English fashion designer Gareth Pugh’s Straw dress.  The dress was exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute spring 2016 exhibition, Manus x Machina.

 

For the development of the conceptual model, the requirement was to develop a 6 x 6 cube made exclusively out of cardboard inspired by the selected dress.
